Brilliant all in one and great price

I was a bit dubious about purchasing this after reading mixed reviews, especially about setting up the printer as I am not the most technical person. I neednt have worried. It was really easy to set up, the only draw back was it didnt have a USB lead included, but I had a spare so this wasnt a problem. The quality of the picture printing is excellant and it is very easy to use. Very user friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending this.

Paper jam problem after 8 months

Worked fine for 8 months. print quality is Ok. Cartridges are expensive and do not last long
After 8 months the printer keeps jaming the paper in the machine
Followed HP support instructions. Paper still jams in printer
Last printer was a Canon which was no problem at all

Great All Rounder

I love this machine, it can do everything it says pretty much, just don't try and refill the HP cartridges yourself otherwise you may find it leaks huge black ink marks over your pretty pictures!

HP Officejet 6310

This is quite simply the best printer I've ever bought. I got it as a present for my partner and she's absolutely delighted. It was very easy to set up on a partially wireless network and does all the jobs I could ask for and more. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with an ethernet or USB cable, but I had one lying around so no problem. I haven't used the fax functions yet, but I'm sure they do the job to the same standard.

Also when buying ink disregard the comments of anyone shamelessly plugging a certain website that sells refilled/refurbished cartridges. It's likely that they work for this company and they're being paid to write these bogus reviews that don't reflect their true quality. One of them seems to have the same opinion of 23 different cartridges and has written identical reviews for them. Sad.

If your looking for a printer for Home use...then this is the printer to buy...I've had it for quite some time and together with its 'All-in-One' capabilities, speed and efficiency...this product has been wonders to use...and is very easy to use, (print, fax, scan, copy)

Best printer and scanner I have ever owned

Just bought this today and was up and running on Vista 64 bit (SP1) in 30 minutes with absolutely no problems. Scanning is fast and excellent quality. Range of options to scan to file/application/OCR/image editor etc. are brilliant and work excellently and seemlessly with Vista.
I have owned a range of scanners over the years and I have never had one which was remotely reliable (last one was an Epson). The HP C5180 all in one works flawlessly and the speed is amazing (printing and scanning). I have been putting of digitising hundreds of old 35mm photo prints for ages, but now I have no excuse. The seemless interface with the HP photosmart software will make the job a doddle.

Great printer, and you can connect a very cheap (about £10.00) Bluetooth adapter to it and have wireless printing from your laptop

Amazing all in 1 device

What can I say - my previous device died and I had to hunt for the best replacement. Well I didnt want to spend quite this much, however I do not regret it for 1 second.
The quality is amazing, the speed is good and all the extras (such as lightscribe on CDs, printing graph paper or music paper or all sorts of inbuilt examples) just make it a joy to use.
It is nice and quiet. So far it is proving to be very economical. Photocopying is fast, efficient and quiet. The photographs it can print are as good as the old photographs I used to get when I used good old 35mm film and sent them away to be printed.
Setup was a doddle - i use a mixture of systems here at home from wireless to networks and all talk to this printer no problems.
Pluggin in my camera cards I can quickly whiz through the pictures on the card and choose which I want to print.
Impressed - yes.
Worth buying - yes.

HP C7280

Wireless setup was very easy, can now print from any room in the house. It is a little slow, but the print quality is very good. I havnt really had any problems at all with this Printer, it does what it says very well. Photo's are very good, but take a few seconds to dry. Copy and Fax work well.
Overall very pleased.

HP Devices have been detected error

ok if you get this HP product be prepared for some major hassles, you may get it installed & working first time round but then your in for one major headache,the HP Solution Center software is a nightmare, i basicly have a printer and copier as the scanner never works...save yourself some time and look elseware if you buy this your going to get this error"No HP Devices have been detected. HP Solution Centre will close now" and thats ya lot folks

What a truly awful printer. We have 3 printers this is by far the worst. It prints one item then goes off line and you are left with a backlog as long as your arm. The HP help is total rubbish. If you are a student with deadlines do not buy this as your course may have finished and you are still sitting there waiting, waiting, waiting...................................................................

A really great piece of kit -- recommended...

I bought the HP C4480 copier / scanner / printer because I wanted to upgrade from my entry-level Lexmark printer due to the fact that I have started my own business.

I considered the equivalent models from Lexmark and Epson, but in the end chose the HP because it was not only technically as good as the competition, but also seemed better designed, neater looking and more compact.

Having installed the HP and used it for a couple of days, I am absolutely delighted with it. Installation was easy - even for a technophobe like me. Most importantly, the print quality is absolutely superb, both printing straight from the computer and photocopying paper documents. The photocopy quality is as good as the most expensive copying machine, albeit a bit slower - each copy takes about 10 seconds to print.

The controls are well laid out and simple to use. There are three main buttons - 'scan', 'black and white photocopy' and 'colour photocopy' - that's it! There are sockets for SD/XC/MMC cards along with MS/DUO.

Overall, an excellent, user-friendly printer / copier / scanner. Strongly recommended.

hp photosmart c6280

Purchased the HP C6280 before noon and it arrived before noon next day - very good.
After unpacking, inks and paper must be loaded before configuration can take place. The C6280 was configured in Ethernet mode and it was a simple matter of performing a software install on Windows. Configuring the C6280 for use as a printer with Solaris x86 was easier than Windows. The C6280 was configured as a network printer using TCP and port 9100 (as the C6280 was not listed I chose the 7280 which has a similar specification but includes a facsimile module), this will be similar under Linux which also uses CUPS. Scanning and Coping work fine under Windows; working on getting Scanner working with Solaris x86 using Xsane.

Great office printer

HP Officejet Pro L7780 Printer

I just bought this printer and have been using it for a few days so I thought I'd write a review of my experiences thus far. I had read a few reviews before purchasing it and was somewhat confused as it had got mixed ones.

Setting up was very easy. By this, I mean I could send a fax within seconds of turning it on, connected it to the home network which only involved putting in the network key etc. The only thing that took me more than 5 minutes to do was to set up the network folders. The instructions included were rubbish really. I had to go onto the hp website to get the full intructions but once I did, i had no issues accessing folders set up on my pc from the printer and sending stuff to them. Also, I haven't experienced any issues such as network dropouts etc. That kind of stuff could be down to the router rather than the printer itself.

I've only really printed documents so I cant really comment to much on the qulaity. I did however print a 4" x 6" photo which came out better than I expected. It also prints right to the edges with no white border which I like.

All in all, I would recommend this printer and I do think its worth the extra money. There arent too many other machines that have as many features as this.

Not bad for a design studio

Good print quality! Good Price! Built-in Networking is great! Print from Memory Cards is not necessary for a studio. But good for most home users and if you haven't got a card reader. 4/5

Terrible slide scanning

I bought one of these (from another supplier) principally for scanning slides, which it claims to be able to do to a high resolution. However, default settings produced slides with a soft, out of focus look, very poor colour balance and appalling resolution. Adjuting the settings to increase the resolution (even to a still fairly low 2400dpi compared to a stated maximum of 9600dpi) produced out of memory errors on a computer with 2GB RAM. The whole thing is painfully slow and the software crashed.
Document scanning might be fine - I didn't try it so this review only pertains to its capabilities scanning slides, which was what I bought it for.
Fortunately I have been able to get a refund.
