I had it for about 6mths before it stopped burning DVDs. Still burns CDs just not DVDs. Looking on the forums suggests that this is a common problem. The HP website is no use, with minimal support. I am going to throw it away and buy a different model

While the specs look OK, the performance was terrible. I wanted a laptop that I could use in the train to watch videos, play some games and was small. First off the laptop is deceptively heavy; the performance on battery is pitiful. So bad that you would struggle to watch a DVD full screen on battery. That does suggest that you could even see the picture in the first place. Plugging in the laptop has other problems, the power supply and network connections are on opposite sides, so if used as a tablet either way you hold it will be uncomfortable.

This has been the worst laptop I have ever had and have had to return it post haste.While the specs look OK, the performance was terrible. An excellent piece of kit. Slips nicely into the slot on my Touchsmart PC. Software preloaded and was up and runnig quickly. Usuing Vista backup it regularly updates and when I go away it will slip out of the slot and can be stored remotely or used with another PC. Efficient, compact and reliable.9

I bought one of these drives to work with my HP media centre. You just plug in to the front loading bay and up it comes.Have asked for another for Christmas. In fact would be happy with two more. Beats changing CD's or DVD's over.

- Keyboard, nearly full size. Best writing feeling I ever had
- Screen, high resolution, clear and sharp. Excellent contrast.
- Large hard-drive.
- Express and SD slot.
- alu shell.
However, like other companies, they didn't design it through and stopped before the finish.
- sluggish slow processor (VIA), despite the high clock rate (1.2 or 1.6 GhZ) poor performance
- old graphic engine (VIA chrome)
- Neither the VISTA home nor the SUSE really is suitable for the machine.
- Not much info compared to Asus
- Not widely sold and expensive
- Screen resolution causes tiny fonts.
- Expensive
Yes, I love the machine but it needs lots of tweaking.
I bought the vista model because this was the only model in stock.
To get a responsive system you have to replace VISTA with either XP (necessary drivers on the HP webpage) or Linux (not SUSE).
Main problem with linux is the support of the wifi (can be solved) and the openchrome driver.
In my opinion Xubuntu or Ubuntu are good choices (you find easy information how to tweak the system for the hp 2133).
I was able to get the 3G USB modem working (white E220).
