1. Do not purchase this poor quality item: HP Photosmart A433 Portable Photo Studio (Q7032A)
2. HP offers no support to those who purchase online - very unhelpful and only able to regurgitate standard format replies to any queries
3. Once bitten twice shy. Would not purchase online from HP again
My advice? Buy similar product from Kodak - same price and it works!

One Very Disappointed Customer
Why only one star? Well the product was faulty from day one and HP online customer service is dreadful. I purchased the HP Photosmart A433 Portable Photo Studio (Q7032A) online a month before Christmas to ensure it arrived in time for the big day; the box was opened for the first time on 25th December 2006, the camera set up as per instructions but it failed to charge. After 36 hours of continuous charge we managed to get the camera up and running. However the LCD display showed photos with coloured lines running all the way through them. Basically the camera was useless. I contacted UK GLA HP Store Sales Support Team by email and requested a full refund. A standard reply came: as it was now more than 30 days since the item had been purchased no way would they give a refund, even though the item had only been opened a few days ago and had been faulty from the start. The only thing to do was arrange collection from a UK address and it would be repaired under warranty. I replied that as I was overseas (which is why the item was purchased online in the first place)I would need to return it by post. However the UK GLA HP Store Sales Support Team would not give me a return address; the item had to be collected from a UK address and repaired under warranty. This does not help me as I am not in the UK. I still have the faulty item. There is nowhere I can send it for repair. But I have learnt the following lessons:1. Plenty of Features but Poor Colours
I have been using this camera for around 6 months now. It has plenty of features and is relatively easy to use. Its power saving features are particularly good. However, it suffers from several serious drawbacks. Firstly there is no optical viewfinder and the LCD screen is very hard to see in bright sunlight. Secondly any settings such as disabling the flash are changed back to their default values when the camera is switched off - very irritating. Thirdly, and most seriously, the colour rendering is very poor - landscapes photographed in sunlight appear very cold compared with the vibrant colours of my old Olympus digital camera, bright blue skies being rendered almost grey. I have tried every combination of settings but to no avail - I would not have bought this camera had I known how dull and flat the colours would be. It may be great for indoors and close-ups but not for landscape photography.7

Steer Clear of this One!
I recieved this camera for Christmas last year,and despite the fact that it eats batteries at a rate of knots, I had no problems with it until a couple of months after when it started to play up when I put anything but Duracel batteries in it. It started to shut down a lot,so I rang the helpline and spent 25 minutes on the phone to an Indian call centre until I negotiated a swap for a new one. The new one came and again worked fine for a while,but again started to be very picky with the type of batteries I put in,shutting down randomly,giving me false error messages and the screen began flickering green. I have been unable to take pictures with it ever since.Not recommended!15

i bought one of these from jessops.over the next 12 months,it was constantly problematic.each time it went faulty,jessops replaced it with a new camera.i received 5 new ones in 12 months.when i collected the fifth one,they said they would give me an alternative model if it went wrong again.it lasted 4 weeks.i added a bit more cash and bought a hpr927 and that one is brilliant16

I bought one of these little gems a couple of months ago, and it always puts a smile on me and my families face!!it is a doddle to use, big touch screen, great photo-effects- we like the cartoon one, and slim and attractive
every one that sees it wants one, and it really puts fun back in picture taking, a great social camera!
really easy to use, kids think it is fab
